Someone is praying for me…

admin | December 12, 2008

I have learned about myself that I have little to do with whenever I am beginning to really take flight with Jesus.  As soon as I begin to think I am doing good, I drift away from intimacy with Him again.  It’s a vicious cycle.

So right now I am doing really good.  My heart is growing softer and softer to Him.  I am loving Him more (what a miracle!  Thank you God!  I love you Jesus!)

I don’t deserve any of the credit for this.

So, I think that someone must be praying for me and doing a great job at it.  If thats you and you happen to read this, thank you so much.  I am so grateful for you and your thoughfulness to pray for me.  Please don’t stop.  Thank you!

What Fasting Does and Different Ways to Fast

admin | November 12, 2008

I just read AN AMAZING post on Mike Bickle’s blog about fasting.

However, instead of making the focal point about fasting, his objective is to teach about the Power to Love Jesus.  Fasting is just a means to an end.  And what a beautiful end.

Fasting puts our hearts in position to recieve more power to love Jesus, because we can’t even love Him without help.  When we love Him, it is the Spirit’s work in us.

We can fast five different ways:  Giving, Serving, Praying, Blessing Our Enemies and Fasting Food.

  • We fast our financial strength in giving
  • We fast our time and energy in praying and serving by investing into God and others
  • We fast our words and reputation in blessing our enemies
  • We fast our physical and emotional strength in giving up food

"Whoever Desires To Be Great"

admin | October 14, 2008

“God has extended an invitation to men. It is an invitation to be great in His Kingdom. He gives the invitation to every man, regardless of his outward achievements, success, or circumstances. We have all been given equal opportunity for greatness in the Kingdom of God. Jesus taught that our greatness is not based on outward appearances, but rather on the responses of our heart to Him in love and servanthood.

In this way, He made greatness available to all.”

Mike Bickle
Director of the Internation House of Prayer

There’s a war on the inside. It’s the arena for me to demonstrate my love for you.

Living Flame of Love

admin | July 3, 2008

1st Stanza of O Living Flame of Love by St. John of the Cross

O living flame of love
that tenderly wounds my soul
in its deepest center! Since
now you are not oppressive,
now consummate! if it be your will:
tear through the veil of this sweet encounter!
